Using SAS 9.4
I need to conduct a power analysis to determine the n per group, given that the alpha =0.05 and the power is .8. I have a total N=107.
(I am not sure if this is needed/helpful) I have 4 variables that are of interest:
1. fixation (categorical with 4 groups)
2. rerupture (dichotomous)
3. major_comps (dichotomous)
4. time (continuous)
I care about fixation by the other 3 variables. Any thoughts or places to start would be helpful. Thank you
Sounds like a job for PROC GLMPOWER
By the way, please help us all. Go back and change the subject of your ORIGINAL message to something meaningful, for example "Computing Sample Size"

The first thing would be to determine what type of Test you are performing. Start by telling us which test or model you intend to use.
Without that the information you provided really doesn't mean much.
I plan on using Fisher for my test.

Fisher is involved in a number of tests. You will need to be a bit more specific.
If you have an example of the actual analysis code intended that would be the best description.
