I am hoping that someone would be willing to assist me. I am looking to determine confidence intervals using Poisson distribution for the following.
1. Minimal Incidence (32 cases)
- Average minimal incidence = 0.197 per 100,000 (0-19 years)/ or 1 in 507,614 in Canada
2. 19 cases with age ranging from 1-44 months
- Average minimal incidence = 0.498 per 100,000 (0-4 years)/ or 1 in 200,803 in Canada
3. Minimal birth incidence (32 cases), assuming stable annual birth rates
- Average minimal incidence = 4.39 per 100,000 births/ or 1 in 22,779 births in Canada
4. Minimal incidence (24 cases) based on 8 participating provinces' population 0 to 19 years
- Average minimal incidence = 0.151 per 100,000 (0-19 years)/ or 1 in 662,251 in Canada
5. Minimal incidence based on 2 years combined (2020-2021) across 3 provinces of population between 0-19 years
- Average minimal incidence = 0.309 per 100,000 (0-19 years)/ or 1 in 324,000 in Canada
Does anyone know how I would go about calculating the confidence intervals for these?
