Hi
I am using SAS code from a website called ASA24 to clean data from CSV files. I’m supposed to edit a few lines in the downloaded SAS code to modify the file paths, but whenever I open the downloaded files, they appear in SAS 9.4 (on windows) as “read-only.” I tried creating a new file by copying and pasting the code, but when I run this new version, I get a myriad of errors about files not existing, even though the file paths work correctly in the File Directory.
How can I either make the original files editable or fix the errors that appear when running the copied code?

Here is the website i got the code from "https://epi.grants.cancer.gov/asa24/resources/cleaning.html"
I am using ASA24-2018 Canada

Thanks!
