A00-231: SAS Certified Specialist - Base Programming Using SAS 9

Hi there,

I plan to take the A00231 Base programming performance based exam next month.

I just want to know the below points;

a) How many multiple choice questions are there in the exam?

b)What is the time allowed to attempt those questions?

I will be taking the exam in the pearson vue exam center.

• 40-45 multiple choice and short-answer questions.
• 125 minutes to complete exam.
• Passing score is 725; uses a score range from 200 to 1,000 points. For more information about scaled scores, see our FAQ.
• Use exam ID A00-231; required when registering with Pearson VUE.
• Use exam ID A00-233 if you currently hold the SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 credential. This is a shorter, less expensive delta exam. It is 75 minutes, 18-22 questions, and costs $75 USD.
• This exam is based on SAS 9.4 M5.

In addition to what @novinosrin said, there will be 8 programming projects with 23 questions to start the exam. Each worth 2 to 3 points.

Then there will be 19 regular exam questions (each worth 1 point).
