Sharing SAS data with Visual Basic

I know this may not be strictly MS Office but it's (kind of) related.

I'm interested in building a VB front end to access SAS data sets and to process this information in SAS macros in a process controlled by VB. Does anyone have any information on VB/SAS interaction?
