Hi, is there a way to run SAS file in VB without having SAS installed on the client/local machine. What SAS/MS or other software needed to accomplish this.

thanks

Hi:
If you need a quick response, then you should contact Tech Support for help.

A search of the Tech Support site shows these hits (among others), searching on the terms "VB Script", "VBA", ".Net", ".COM" and "IOM":

I wonder why you're not looking at SAS Enterprise Guide. One of the uses of EG is to allow a user to have EG on a local machine --- without a local copy of SAS and EG manages communication and code processing and talks to a server copy of SAS.

Sure, use DDE (it's sas technology thats been around for a long time that uses older microsoft version of vba, but it's still a nice SAS to Microsoft gateway, and gives you lots of direct microsoft functional control over the spreadsheet/workbook)
