We have some SQL Server jobs and EDW jobs that gather data and export the data to Excel Pivot Tables and PowerPoint.  We would like to use SAS EG to perform this function, but unfortunately cannot find a lot of information on how to do this, nor does our team have any experts.  So asking in the forum, hoping someone might know if this is possible, and perhaps some good tutorials they might know on how to do this.  Any help is appreciated.

Thank You

Hi!

You can create a project in EG that reads data from SQL server and cleans and aggregate it.

If you create output (using transformations like "List data" or similiar) that output can be sent to excel using a stored process.

When you are satisfied with your EG project you can right click the project area and select "create stored process".

If you have the "add in for microsoft office" in excel you can open the stored process directly from excel and get the output from the EG project in a tab.

From that tab you can create pivots and graph that will be updated the next time you run the stored process.

This link can be a start: http://support.sas.com/resources/papers/proceedings12/036-2012.pdf

Another way is to write the program directly in excel, this link can guide you: https://blogs.sas.com/content/sasdummy/2017/05/30/sas-programs-amo/

Hope this helps!
