Hello,

I have an Excel 2016 workbook with a connection to SAS (SAS add-in v7.13). I keep losing the connection to the SAS data, and am trying to figure out how to prevent this.

  • The SAS data connection was created using the "SAS Data" wizard on the SAS add-in ribbon in Excel.
  • When I close and re-open the workbook, the "Refresh" icon on the SAS add-in ribbon is grayed out.
  • I've verified the SAS connection is for the correct library, and I'm able to find the SAS file if I use the "SAS Data" wizard to create a new connection.
  • I've tried refreshing using Excel VBA and receive a message "There is no SAS content that can be refreshed"

I realize this isn't a lot to work from, but I'm not sure where to start for troubleshooting this. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Frank

Hi!

To "ungray" the refresh button try click somewhere on the imported data/graph.

It's normally grayed out until I select an imported object.

You should also be able to do the refresh/update using the "Manage content" button.
