Reading data from sharepoint.

i all,

I have seen a couple of posts that extract data in various manners from sharepoint in Excel and other methods,

However I seem to still be having difficulties.

In essence I have an URL that goes as such:

http://teamcentral/sites/medicine/nursing/pi/hh/Lists/new%20survey/AllItems.aspx (it is protected) by an intranet site that gives all the data for a specific list of interest.

Where can I look to find possible resources? ANy ideas?
