I use the method CreateObjectByLogicalName that works perfectly well except in one case. I get a message "Access denied" yet the same user and password function normally with CreateObjectByServer method

The password contains ")." Is there a relationship? Is there a difference between these methods ?

I use Eterprise Guide and Add-In 4.3 and I connect to a server 9.2 on HP-UX

Thank's

In fact, I understand now the usefulness of the method SetMetaDataFile and its impact on all SAS objects. Once the configuration files have been defined, I no longer need CreateObjectByLogicalName or CreateObjectByServer methods. Creating servers (SAS.Workspace, for example) is made by simple declaration.

obObjectFactory = New SASObjectManager.ObjectFactory
obObjectFactory.SetMetadataFile (ServerInfoFile, UserInfoFile, True)
obSAS = New SAS.Workspace

Thank's anyway
