PROC IRP

I am working with the Proc IRP for inventory optimization for a pharmaceutics industry, and i need information about differentiations of this Proc, does somebody know where i can get it?. Also, I need to show the benefit of forecasting+this proc, does somebody have some paper or presentation that i can use?

Proc IRP was part of SAS/OR in the beginning - so you may be able to search for papers from user group meetings prior to 2003.
