Error handling points while data is migrated from Cobol to SAS

Hi,

can any one please tell me what are the points need to consider in error handling while mugrating the data from Cobol Source (Legacy Sysytem) to SAS Source system

There are several different options available for those who are in computer operations groups and must track errors in the log files as legacy data sets that were processed with old cobol programs so they can be transformed as SAS data sets. Before details can be suggested it depends on what you plan on doing in SAS -- will you be producing reports or investigating new advanced analytics or ad hoc queries? If you do not intend on eventually performing lmathematical programming optimization routines or optimization algorithms then i suggest you post your question to a different User Forum.
