path for saving plots in sgplots

Is there any way to assign paths where the plots are to be saved. It seems there are different ways to do that in sgplots and in gchart.

I will be glad to know the two different ways.

I will also wish to know if the images are better as png or jpg. The images will be inserted Ms Word
