Hi:

  Generally, you need to have a name that the server will have WRITE access to. This might be a UNC name or a mapped folder name. It really depends on what your server is set up to do. For example, I have a mapped U drive and my server can write to it:

%let path=u:\output\reports;

filename fileout "&path\xyz.html";

  But in another case, I have to use a UNC name like this:

filename fileout "\\eduxxx01\public\output\reports\xyz.html";

  The important thing to remember is that SAS on the server has to be able to access the location and if I'm writing output, then SAS on the server has to have WRITE access to the location.

This sounds like a SAS administration question.  Is there a typically recommended folder that SAS should have write access to?
