ISO has standards for zipcodes around the world. Is this feature available in SAS?

Here's the ISO standard, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-2

China I need to map. China has prefectures but they have these subvisions at the local level.

Also, is there a way to list both Chinese simplified, Chinese traditional, romanized or all?

Thanks in advance.

That standard covers definitions of country districts, regions and provinces etc. My understanding is that zip codes relate to postal delivery areas so they are not the same thing. Is it zip codes or country regions that you are after? Also how do you want to use them? Just map boundaries or something else?

Are you wanting just a centroid/representative point in the areas, or polygons (borders)?

Even in the US, "zip code" polygons are somewhat vague and tough (impossible?) to get exact representations of (if you're interested in this topic, here's some light reading on ZCTAs in the US https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZIP_Code_Tabulation_Area)

I need the map borders for sales and marketing forecasting and analytic activities. If I could lower that would be good too.

I've read the documents. Thanks but I need answers about SAS mapping capabilities.

Ideally,this is what I want:

County with breakdown by Zip code. I've posted a screenshot of what I want from SAS.

Can you see how valuable this type of information could be in an analytics endeavor?

Zipcode is what the Universal Postal Union uses and they have mapped the whole world for greater precision in a number of areas.

But I want to see if SAS can do this before I buy from UPU, https://www.upu.int/en/Postal-Solutions/Programmes-Services/Addressing-Solutions

SAS can import shapefiles, and then plot data on maps using those polygons (proc gmap, and proc sgmap), and produce maps similar to the one you showed.

But ... you must get the polygons somewhere. I glanced at the Universal Postal Union website you referenced, and I don't see any mention there of polygons (borders). I suspect they are just providing a list of the zip codes, not the borders. Be sure to check with them before paying anything!

I suggest you open a track with SAS Tech Support as they are sure to have specialist mapping expertise in-house.
