Geodist returns missing values

I wonder why geodist function returns a missing value for some distances. Here is an example:



data _null_;
a = geodist(-115.27384, 43.61225, -116.27364, 48.61210); put a;
a = geodist( -89.95127, 42.23679, -87.94728, 42.23613); put a;
run;

GEODIST takes Lat/Long pairs. Latitude first:
GEODIST(latitude-1, longitude-1, latitude-2, longitude-2 <,options> )

Latitude is -90 to 90. Longitude is -180 to 180.
Your latitude is -115. GEODIST has no way to tell you have an error other than returning a missing value.

Perhaps you have your lat and long reversed?
