The categoryorder= option of the vbar statement allows to display the bars in ascending or descending order.

However the option is not available by vbarparm/vbarbasic. Is there an alternative ?

proc sgplot data=sashelp.class;
    vbar sex / categoryorder=respdesc; *respasc;
run;

ods output OneWayFreqs=class_stat;
proc freq data=sashelp.class;
    table sex;
run;

proc print data=class_stat;
run;

proc sgplot data=class_stat;
    vbar sex / freq=frequency categoryorder=respdesc;
run;

proc sgplot data=class_stat;
    vbar sex / response=frequency categoryorder=respdesc;
run;

proc sgplot data=class_stat;
    vbarparm category=sex response=frequency /*/ categoryorder=respdesc*/;
run;

proc sgplot data=class_stat;
    vbarbasic sex / response=frequency /*categoryorder=respdesc*/;
run;

That's the only solution I can think of given that discreteorder=data for vbarparm et vbarbasic.
