Hi all! I am curious about curating a map within the SAS program. I have a dataset that only has local counties (and their respective county codes), will this be sufficient to create a map in SAS? How does one prepare their dataset to create one?
I appreciate any sort of resources that I can look up and learn more!
Many thanks!
If you have a SAS/Graph license, SAS ships US county borders/maps in the mapsgfk library. You can then use Proc Gmap or Proc SGmap to draw the county map, and color the counties using your data. I have several examples of North Carolina county maps in this collection - feel free to look at my code, and use that as a starting place for your California county map.
