How to Use Grid in SAS Visual Investigator

Hi to all,

Is there someone who can help me understand how to use the grid object in Pages of SAS Visual Investigator? I understand that it can be used to create a table from a data source. I tried to connect to the SVI datastore, but it only shows "External" AND "URL."

Hi Adrian, 

The grid page control can display data from another data source - details of how to configure the grid can be found here: 

• Visual Investigator Administrator's Guide: Grid Control Overview 
• Visual Investigator Administrator's Guide: Configuring and Populating a Grid Control 

The grid can be populated from a JSON structure or a JSON response from a REST URL. More details can be found in the documentation links above. 

Note: you won't be prompted for a documentation access key if opening the documentation link from VI. If you are prompted for a key but don't have a copy of it, please contact SAS Technical Support.
