sas trial - could not access SAS visual investigator

Hi All,

I have requested for SAS trial version of Visual Investigator. After I log in to SAS profile I see below message about proxy server setting. I am using firefox browser, please let me know exact steps that need to do to access SAS Visual Investigator app.

Cannot access the Web site. Please check your proxy settings. Made http request for GET / HTTP/1.1 to pdcesx22010.sas.com:80. The URL you entered is incorrect or the Web site is not accessible. Administrator: Please make sure that the DNS Domain information is entered correctly. Made http request for GET / HTTP/1.1 to pdcesx22010.sas.com:80.

Hi @nbonda, 

Chrome is the recommended browser for the SAS Trials. Do you have the ability to try to access the trial in a different browser? That would be the quickest test.

The second thing to test is, since it's complaining about DNS, try to substitute the host name with the ip address in the url:

$ ping pdcesx22010.sas.com

Pinging vep.sas.com [149.173.5.187] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 149.173.5.187: bytes=32 time=1ms TTL=62

Try https://149.173.5.187:80 as the url (assuming you need https vs http; you can try both).

If neither of those work, let reply here, and we can troubleshoot further.
