Issue with git SAS Studio 3.8

Hello,
I want to keep sas studio preferences for each user in his folder under the path w:\user_workspaces\userid . We changed this property

webdms.studioDataParentDirectory=W:/user_workspaces/<userid>/.config

We got what we need . Except the fact that git engine is not working correctly, and we can’t get the branch name as you can see in the screenshot. 

 

Could you please help us troubleshoot the issue ? And why branch name is not stored in SASStudio folder ?
