Creating a stored process in University Edition and SAS Studio

I am trying to learn SAS and wanted to create a test stored process. I am running SAS University Edition and in the SAS Studio I don't see an option to create a stored process. I tried putting in the %stpbegin and end macros in my sample SAS program but that doesn't work either.

Can I not use SAS University Edition for stored process?

Hi:

  A stored process is part of the capability with a BI Platform or Office Analytics installation. There is a special infrastructure and architecture needed which is NOT part of SAS University Edition. The software and servers you need to create and execute a stored process are NOT part of SAS University Edition. The key thing with using %stpbegin/%stpend is to have a working SAS program. Since you can't write a stored process using the SAS University Edition, my recommendation would be to try to study SAS programming techniques in general, including SAS Macro programming, in order to be able to write effective stored processes when you are able to use an installation with that capability.
