Hello!

How can I copy all the parameters that have been defined for a storedprocess and paste them to a new stored process? I have a lot of parameters that were defined already and may use in another store process.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks!
RA

Hi,
You do not really cut and paste the parameters from one stored process to another. However, you can make a copy of the entire stored process, give it a new name and then edit the parameters to add or change parameters, as needed. You might consider contacting Tech Support for more specific help in this task, because the steps that you would follow would be different depending on whether you were using the Stored Process Wizard in EG or whether you were manually registering the Stored Process in SAS Management Console.

Good luck!

Thank you Cynthia!

I am using EG 4.1. How can I copy an entire stored process using EG? The new Stored Proc automatically creats a new source file or does it use the same source file which is being used by the old stored proc?

Thanks,
RA

RA:
I do not have a machine image available today to capture the EXACT steps in EG. This is why I recommended that you contact Tech Support.

When I copy stored processes, I generally use SAS Management Console and not EG. Tech Support can help you figure out the EXACT steps you need.
