Hi there,

I need to transfer data from SAS Server to SQL Server. I have 'SAS Local Data Provider 9.44' driver installed. I have managed to do Windows Share the SAS folders and hence I can see the SAS files in Windows Explorer. Thus, I can use SSIS to transfer data from SAS Server to one of the tables in SQL Server Data warehouse. This process works all fine with no issues.

However, in order to schedule the process, I tried running the package in the SSMS. I downloaded the driver 'SAS Local Data Provider 9.46' in SQL Server but I get an error when I try to run the package from SSMS. Error message I get:  'Description: The requested OLE DB provider sas.LocalProvider.9.44 is not registered.'

I also tried to set up a New Linked Server in SSMS and I can see 'SAS Local Data Provider 9.46' in drop down list as a Provider. But still fails the connection test.

Can anybody help me with this please?
