Hi

we have recently upgraded our BI componets to 4.3. from 4.2 and we have several issues which are extremely annoying. This is one of them...

We use collection portlets within the Portal to link to stored processes using the STPRUN directive. Pre upgrade these would nicely open in a new browser window but since the upgrade they open in the same window. This is not what we want (as we open custom parameter pages and normally use the Application option for the item in the portlet). We do not want to use the Link option as this creates other problems...

I have tried using the _action=newwindow parameter within the url, but this doesn't make any difference. These urls work as expected as links with display portlets etc.

Just for completeness here is an example url:

dwweb/SASPortal/Director?_directive=STPRun&_action=newwindow&_program=%2FStored%20Processes%2FProcessing%28StoredProcess%29&rptNum=2A

Thanks for any help.

Resolved.

It appears that there is an option in one of the config files present in the Portal ear which was overwritten with the upgrade to 4.3. Changing the option in the file, rebuilding the ear and redeploying has sorted it.

Hi Jono@NZ / Ron@SASNZ

I know this is old, but would you happen to remember which configuration file did you have to edit in order to make this happen?
