Q&A

Will the new email designer support AMP email?

The new Email Designer tool will support AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages). However, it will not be available immediately when we launch in Production in Q1. AMP is on the list for enhancements.

When will the new Email Designer be available?

The new Email Designer is planned to be available in Production by the end of Q1, around late March. If you would like to test it and don't already have access, please let us know and we can arrange it for you.

Can I change a journey after it’s active?

I’ve touched on this before, but it comes up quite often. It depends on the type of journey. If it’s a real-time journey, it’s a bit different from a scheduled journey. Real-time journeys are entirely trigger-based, which allows for more flexibility. In both scenarios—real-time or scheduled journeys—if you need to edit an email in your journey, such as changing an image, fixing a link, correcting a typo, or adding more content, you can do that. You’re able to edit your email and republish it with no problem. So, changing the content of an existing task in a journey is fully supported. With real-time journeys, you can also change the flow of an active journey. However, in scheduled journeys, you currently cannot change the flow once it’s live. While we’ve added more capabilities and control with scheduled journeys, the trade-off is that it’s harder to make changes on the fly, as it can disrupt the reporting infrastructure. We plan to introduce versioning functionality in the future, so you could, for example, have anyone who enters after a certain point follow the next version of a journey—such as when you add a split node path. You can, however, change the schedule and adjust some drop conditions. So, there are several elements you can edit. Essentially, the canvas in scheduled journeys is locked once it’s live. Keep that in mind. Sometimes, you can accommodate changes by building smaller journeys and linking them together. Those are a few options to consider.

We have a team of people doing segmentation. What sort of collaboration capabilities are available?

We are currently developing several collaboration features. One feature is the ability to add sticky / post-it notes to a segment map, where you can add a block or several lines of text. Other features include the ability to add text or image annotations. For example, you could insert an image of a product offer or add a "label" to a certain section of the segment map to explain what that section does. We expect to introduce these features soon. Keep an eye out for announcements in the "What's New" section of our website and on our community pages.

It was mentioned before that scheduled journey will support Direct in the future. Is there any estimation timeline when will this be available?

This is a highly-requested feature and we want to make sure we provide the best user experience whilst delivering the functionality that matters. More information about this capability and delivery timelines will be shared during 2026 Q2 with a delivery target in the second half of 2026.
