Hello Friends,

Need some help please,

We are planning to put Viya 3.5 on AWS Linux machine, just a single instance (All-in-One) with few products like VA/VS. Can we just have private subnet instead having public + private and have admin control node (Ansible controller) on-prem to log into AWS private subnet Viya machine?

I have gone through the AWS quick start documentation but we don't want to have internet connection set up in public subnet for ansible controller, thinking to have,

- ansible controller/admin node on-prem to connect to Viya node in private subnet with may be direct connect/VPN and

- users will be connecting to AWS viya machine from their own machine using same direct connect/vpn concept

Also, what would be specs for Ansible controller/admin node machine? like what type of instance + cores and RAM require,

Thank you -

Given that such a change also could have licensing implications, you probably should get in contact with SAS before spending too much time on technical details for a new solution.

I highly recommend you engage with SAS to do a Viya sizing exercise. We can't help you with sizing as we don't know your usage requirements.
