hi all,

We are using sas 9.4 on linux with grid cluster. what is happening is, somehow some users's sas datasets end up on grid-share area (area where user's id has with grid job details + some directories name with like <sasgrid_<userid>_<hostname>_<some numberbs>_<datetime_stamp> + sas datasets) holding lot of space instead should end at either "work" library for temporary sas datsaets or to a specific library for permanent sas datasets.

we don't want any sas datasets (at-least) stays there at grid share area after job gets completed fine or not,

please advise,

Thanks.......

To delete WORK libraries that were not removed by SAS it is best practice to run the SAS CLEANWORK utility daily:

Hello SASKiwi,

this is not our temporary sas work area (we set that up at different locaiton), so i would say this locaiton (sas grid share) is something intermediate area before user's sas datasets reaching out to temporary locaiton (sas temporary work directory) or so,

We don't have SAS Grid, so best to get advice from someone who does.
