good day everyone

management is bent on creating a message id scan for all z/os software, looking for license warning messages - you know, about to expire, or has expired, that sort of thing

do, does sas generate such messages to the log? if so, what are the message id's

any help would be appreciated

thanks

If your SAS license has a "grace period" associated with it, there will be an error message written to the SAS log about your SETINIT is about to expire.  You can scrape your SAS logs for this error message.

Or you can run PROC SETINIT; RUN: and it will print out when all the SAS products for your license will expire.  I would vote for running this once on each SAS system.
