creating folders on Linux from Windows client (EG 7.1 or SAS Studio 3.4)

HI, Some of our end users need the ability to create folders(directories) on the Linux box "on the fly".

I realize that this could be accomplished by doing an x"mkdir blah blah blah" command from BASE SAS, but I don't believe that our security group would be crazy about the idea. Can anyone suggest any alternatives?

DCREATE() function but they need the correct permissions regardless.
