Hi to all,

I have SAS9.4 and two servers in Linux, meta-mid / compute.

Today i renewed our licenses succesfully. When I restarted all services, I noticed that Workspace Server was not validated via MC. I tried many things but there is no log also.

When i try start from Workspace, i took that error.

But, i have also latest libpng packages. And, there was no problem before renew licences.

In SAS Management Console under the properties for the Object Spawner there is a servers tab where you select which application servers that object spawner is responsible for launching. If the Workspace Server isn't mentioned in the log at all, it may be that Workspace Server is not in the list of selected servers.

You may wish to engage SAS Technical Support if you are looking for something more interactive than SAS Communities, like a Microsoft Teams meeting.

You may want to try running WorkspaceServer.sh with the -nodms option so it is not trying to start a windowed environment.

When i run with -nodms, it runs with no error but i still cannot validate from Management Console. Also, my commands not running  on SAS Enterprise Guide.

Thanks your responses.

The error message in Enterprise Guide suggests your Object Spawner is not running.

Actually Object Spawner is running and i can validate it from Management Console. But when i look from Enviroment Manager Workspace Server is not running. I restarted via ObjectSpawner.sh many times, and also i can open WorkspaceServer.sh but i cannot validate it and metrics are like that;

Thanks for your reply again:/

If the Object Spawner is running, it has not bound to the Workspace Server port (hence the connection refused error message in Enterprise Guide). You should check your Object Spawner log to see why it did not bind to the port.

There is not a single piece of information about Workspace Server in the Object Spawner logs. I really don't understand why this is so.

Maybe you can come to a teams meeting 🙂

My problem was related to Authorization settings on Object Spawner's Management Console.

Thanks to @gwootton my problem was solved. Thank you very much indeed.
