Hi,

Got 3 SAS 9.4 Servers as Follows:

Metadata

Compute

Midtier

Do I need to run Content Assessment on all Tiers or only Metadata and Compute (Servers with SAS Foundation Installed)

Thanks!

When you download the content assessment bundle and unzip/untar a "doc/" folder is created with two good pdfs.

[sas@v64-d10b407-02 assessment]$ ls -al doc
total 1144
drwxrwxr-x 2 sas sas 4096 Feb 15 15:54 .
drwxrwxr-x 18 sas sas 4096 Mar 13 16:32 ..
-rw-rw-r-- 1 sas sas 820975 Feb 15 15:53 SASContentAssessment.pdf
-rw-rw-r-- 1 sas sas 337375 Feb 15 15:53 SASContentAssessment-SystemEvaluation.pdf
[sas@v64-d10b407-02 assessment]$

You could skip to page 14 of SASContentAssessment.pdf as there is a

"Can’t Wait?" page that is pretty good place to start clicking like Prereqs.

IMPORTANT With the exception of system evaluation, do not run SAS
Content Assessment applications on production hosts, especially a
production SAS Metadata Server host, if you are concerned about system
performance. SAS Content Assessment provides a way to specify a specific
SAS Metadata Server host remotely to avoid any performance impact.
However, system evaluation needs to run on all hosts with SAS configuration
directories.
