Upgrading the OS REHL 7.x to 8.x in SAS Grid environment

HI Team , 

 

We are planning  to upgrade the OS version of the REHL 7.X to 8.X . What are step I should be taking care in the upgrade from SAS grid perspective ?

SAS strongly discourages doing an upgrade in place of a major version of an operating system (i.e. RHEL 7 to RHEL 😎 and not reinstalling SAS on the UIP version of RHEL.

 

In other words, please install RHEL 8 on new hardware and then reinstall SAS Grid on the new hardware.
