Hi Team,

 

We are facing lot of issues related to SAS Visual Analytics 7.5 which has been installed in the Linux environment.

For the past few months, it is not working and giving errors.

We have One Meta, two Compute and One Web/Mid tiers in the Linux environment and it is non-distributed environment.

So, we are in the thought of uninstalling the SAS VA and re-installing the same, does this needs to unconfigure the SAS VA product as well. Does this effect the existing environment while uninstalling the SAS VA product.

Can anyone please suggest in which order(Server) this needs to be Uninstalled and Unconfigure in the Linux server & re-install the SAS VA as this is Non-Distributed environment

Have you engaged with SAS Tech Support to fix the issues? Reinstalling seems like a drastic approach.

I have contacted the Tech Support as well regarding the issue. It's still
going for nearly two months now.
But no resolution yet.

That seems slow. Time to escalate with your management? I assume you have tried rebooting your installation as a first step? What services aren't working?

SAS Visual Analytics services are up.
There is no problem with the services.
The problem is with the SAS VA page and the errors above.

The HTTP 404 response when calling a web application means the web application failed to start. We see that is the case for the /VisualAnalyticsHub application from your error messages:

Based on the errors you're getting for /SASVisualAnalyticsHub, /SASVisualAnayticsAdminisrator, and SAS Environment Manager, it seems like you might be missing files from the versioned JAR repository, so I would agree if rebuilding / redeploying these web applications does not resolve the issue you might want to try reinstalling them. Has this been discussed on your support track?

This been discussed with SAS Tech Support and the track has been raised
around 45 days back, and still it's going on. But as of now there is no
resolution.

If I un-install and re-install the SAS Visual Analytics 7.5, do I need to
follow any specific steps.

Please let me know, if their is anything to follow in uninstall and
reinstalling the SAS Visual Analytics 7.5, as this is the non-distributed
environment.

Do I need to follow any specific order(server order) in uninstall and
reinstallation.

Did you ask SAS Technical Support specifically about the process for uninstalling and reinstalling?

The uninstall order would be similar to the install order, but reversed (e.g. middle tier first), as these are web applications I'm not sure you'd need to do anything on the other servers.
