These Datadirect ODBC Drivers...and Licences

So here we are - working on SAS9.4M4

We use DataDirect ODBC Drivers to connect to some databases = > Oracle, etc

Are the Licences provided for Datadirect perpetual or do they need to be updated every year, like the SAS Product Licenses?

In my understanding the SAS Licenses are updated every year, but DataDirect should be perpetual?

Am I correct?

I don't believe DataDirect is a SAS product, you'll have to ask them if the licenses are perpetual or annual.

Specifically which SAS Access engines are you referring to and on which platforms ?

The rules are somewhat different depending.

SAS9.4M4 on RHEL is the platform
We use:
---SAS/ACCESS Interface to DB2
---SAS/ACCESS Interface to Oracle
---SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC

From the Text file I can see Licenses with DataDirect are Perpetual.
So I answered my own question here...

Correct, because for the listed Access engines you would have purchased the database drivers separately from a third-party vendor.
