Will SAS run on Windows Server 2016?
Thanks. Very helpful. I prefer installing on 2012 but am being encouraged to consider 2016. This information will help me convince the management to stay with 2012 for now.
I guess you are asking the question as this is not yet listed under supported OSs:
SAS Tech Support should be able to confirm.
Given the history of Microsoft products, I would refrain from using Windows 2016 until it has had at least two years to mature into a (somewhat) usable product.
Thanks. I have always been in the wait-for-the-first-service-patch group, too. I am being encouraged to consider 2016.
I have tried SAS (9.4 M3) VA installation in Windows Server 2016 preview version in testing environment,
And I found very unusual behavior of SAS Deployment Wizard during installation,
Many times he throws an error and when I retry, it goes next,
And at the end installation was not succeed,
So as of now, my suggestion is to not use Server 2016 for SAS Deployment.

Hi,
to be 100% certain and for an "official statement", I would double check with SAS Tech Sup. Maybe they can provide you
with additional information.
Thanks
