Hello all,

I managed to create a list of which users are in which groups/have which roles

I want to make a list now of which roles are in which groups. And if possible, which groups are in another group.

Thanks in advance,

Filip

You could save yourself some considerable effort and check out third-party tools:

Thanks @SASKiwi for mentioning the Metacoda tools.

@Filipvdr if you are after nesting information about Users, Groups and Roles, the Metacoda Security Plug-ins software provide this with the User Reviewer, Group Reviewer and Role Reviewer Plug-ins. These reviewers also have reporting and exporting facilities. @PaulHomes demonstrated these reviewers at a recent SAS User Group for Administrators (SUGA) webinar which you can see the ondemand webinar, slides and Q&A at https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Communities-Library/Q-amp-A-from-quot-SAS-9-4-Metadata-Server-Env...

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions and would like a free 30 day evaluation.

Kind Regards,

Michelle

An alternative to the assumed great tools from Metacoda, a programmatic approach could include use of the %mdu macro family, which would fill this (and other related information) to "cannonical tables":

Also, there is a security reporting macro documented in a parallel appendix.
