Dear all,

 

 We are trying to update the SAS 9.4 license at z/os mainframe. However following error is coming:-

Anyone has any solution ?  Even though we have update access to the original SASHELP library.

 

ERROR: WRITE ACCESS TO MEMBER SASHELP.CORE.CATALOG IS DENIED.                  
ERROR: THE SITE VALIDATION DATA CANNOT BE UPDATED. THIS IS MOST LIKELY DUE TO TH
       WRITE MODE, AND/OR THAT THE SETINIT OPTION HAS NOT BEEN SPECIFIED WHEN US
ERROR: DIFFICULTY READING THE SITE VALIDATION DATA.                            
NOTE: THE SAS SYSTEM STOPPED PROCESSING THIS STEP BECAUSE OF ERRORS.

I would say that is dependant on your SASHELP options as described by the note.

This problem was solved. Apprantly we found that this was the access issues. SASHELP file had no wright / update access.
