Hi All,

I am performing the pre-installation steps SAS Viya Installation on the QA server within our organization. I didn't face this error issue when I did it for Dev.

I am getting the below error when I am trying to create a Playbook.

I am using the latest CLI  (sas-viya-cli-1.18.2-linux-amd64),

IOrchestrationDeploymentDefinitionProvider: Failed to create Orchestration Deployment Definition (ODD): "https://ses.sas.download/ses/sasmd/shipped/depentviya/136/depentviya-136-x64_redhat_linux_6-yumsasmd...".

Can any of the experts guide me or suggest me on resolving this error?

Best,

Do you run into the same issues using the sas-admin CLI for Viya 3.x rather than the sas-viya CLI for Viya 4?
https://tds.sas.com/downloads/package.htm?pid=2133
It seems to be complaining about the version there.

Hi Super User,

We are not using SAS Viya 4 now, we are using 3.5.

Yes, this is why I suggested you not use the Viya 4 CLI (sas-viya) and instead use the Viya 3.x CLI (sas-admin). You say you are using sas-viya-cli-1.18.2-linux-amd64 which is for Viya 4.

Hi Superuser,

Thanks for your suggestion, but we faced the same issue when we used the
sas-viya-cli-1.18.1-linux-amd64.tgz file.
I am not sure why we are not able to create the playbook.

sas-viya-cli-1.18.1-linux-amd64.tgz would also be for Viya 4.
Viya 3.x's cli is called sas-admin. It's latest version is available at the download link I provided in my initial response. The name of the current version of that file is sas-admin-cli-1.18.2-linux-amd64.tgz.

That said, to create a playbook wouldn't you be using the SAS Orchestration CLI?

Create a Playbook

SAS Orchestration Command Line Interface

That file is called sas-orchestration-linux.tgz.

Hi Superuser,

Thanks for your help!!!

Let me try downloading the SAs admin file. Was wondering the same file worked in Dev and I’m not use the same on QA.

Hi All,

Thank you for all your time, patience, support and suggestions.
I am able to create the playbook by copying the files from Dev Env to QA Env. Have also raised a track with SAS to check if I need a new data deployment file.

Regards,
Santosh
