Hello,

Please give some more info on where this access would run:

  • on-premises, in the cloud (private vs public), or in a hybrid environment?
  • Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE), UNIX (AIX), Windows, z/OS (mainframe) or ...?
  • containerized or not?

Thanks,

Koen

Hello @GSMKRachel ,

Yes, ... DB2 v13 is supported as long as the DB2 client is updated to a version that also supports that version of DB2.

From SAS 9.4 M9 onwards, the minimum DB2 version (to ensure compatibility) has been increased from v10 to v11.5.

Ciao,

Koen

Please let us know if SAS 9.4M8 & SAS V9.4M9 are compatible with DB2 V13. Also please provide us with the PTFs if required any.
DOes your reply mean that both the versions are compatible with DB2 V13, without any fixes needed?

Yes, SAS 9.4M8 is compatible with DB2 V13.

Yes, SAS 9.4M9 is compatible with DB2 V13.

Unfortunately, I cannot say whether fixes (PTFs) are required. I am sure that if you contact your SAS account management, they will have this investigated for you (by SAS R&D or SAS Product Management).

Or perhaps there will still be a response here from SAS people who follow this (Admin & Deploy)-board more closely.

Ciao,

Koen

If you don't know which account manager at SAS or which customer success manager at SAS takes care of the relations with and SAS-usage at your company (enterprise) then it might be easier to just contact Technical Support with your question.

Hi team,
Thank you for the information provided.
Also, we are running SAS ADABAS at 9.4 TS1M7.
Could you please let me know if it is compatible with z/OS 3.1?

Leaving aside the ADABAS database for a moment ...

... you need SAS 9.4 M8 (or M9) if you are running on IBM z/OS 3.1 operating system.

See

System Requirements for SAS 9.4 Foundation for z /OS

http://support.sas.com/documentation/installcenter/en/ikfdtnmvssr/66198/PDF/default/sreq.pdf

On page 1 of this pdf, you can read:

• SAS 9.4M9 requires z/OS V3R1 or later within V3.

• SAS 9.4M8 requires IBM z/OS V2R4 or later within V2 and V3R1 (z/OS 3.1) or later within V3.

• SAS 9.4M0 through SAS 9.4M7 offer support for IBM z/OS V1R11, or V2 and later within V2.

Okay.
But could you please provide an update for the SAS ADABAS in particular?
Is SAS ADABAS at 9.4 TS1M7 compatible with z/OS 3.1?

I do not think so (since SAS 9.4 TS1M7 is not compatible with z/OS 3.1),

... but to be absolutely sure you can contact SAS Technical Support.

Here is a link for your convenience: https://support.sas.com/en/technical-support.html#contact
