All,

Any idea why the postgres services are in idle and in transaction below. I applied the latest license ,hotfixes and restarted the sas services and  seen this idle message when I grep for sas(no impacts on users yet).

That is normal. Postgres has one process per connection, these are likely connections from the various web applications on the middle tier that make use of the database. They remain idle until the application needs to get information from the database, or write to it.
