Hello @mariajohnqwerty,

the sid/license file, must be your primary's SAS compute license. But, it is also possible that you might require to add additional licenses to the metadata server, in case you have additional separated sid/license files for additional products.

About an initial deployment with configuration of SSL/certificates, please read: http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/biig/69172/HTML/default/viewer.htm#n05020intelplatform00...

And for understainding certificates:

http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/secref/69831/HTML/default/viewer.htm#p1g2v5c010q6gyn1fi8...

http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/secref/69831/HTML/default/viewer.htm#p1jf3or94q48y9n1om7...

But, basically, you will need the certificate of your server (and it's related private key) on PEM(base64) format, and all the dependant certificates on its path, which is the CA certificate and all the intermediate certificates.
