Hi friends. we are on 9.4 M_3. we recently migrated from M_2. we asked our users to test the functionality of EG. for one of our users the following error message appeared:
"Multiple libraries detected in metadata that use same libref for server sasapp. This is not supported configuration and may be casue problems."
Please advise!!!!
In SAS Management Console, use the Data Library Manager and scan through all defined libraries to find the multiple librefs.

In SAS Management Console, use the Data Library Manager and scan through all defined libraries to find the multiple librefs.
PS if that is the problem of one user, he probably has defined a library for himself that uses the same libref that a "global" library for all users has.
That is the reason why I disabled the use of the SAS Enterprise Guide Explorer and the function "Update Library Metadata" for J. Random User here. Grew tired of having to delete surplus library definitions.

Hi Kurt. Thank you for the solution. How to disable the use of the SAS Enterprise Guide Explorer and the function "Update Library Metadata". Are there any backdrops doing this? Please advise
You do this in SAS Management Console, User Manager.
Your "average" users should have one of the "Enterprise Guide" roles assigned to their group (or individually).
In this role, de-select the functions "Enterprise Guide (version) - Tools and Help - Update Library Metadata" and "Enterprise Guide (version) - Tools and Help - Access SAS Enterprise Guide Explorer".
Or copy the role to a new one, give it an appropriate name, do the changes there and assign that role instead of the default one.
In SAS Management Console, check all data libraries by viewing their properties to confirm where the duplicate LIBREF is defined.
Hi. Your solution worked for me. Thanks a lot
