SAS EG Disconnects

SAS EG in middle of an active session disconnects (for example waiting for process to return connected w DB)

1. OS is Linux RHEL 7.2

2) Not all end user experience this

3) I tried to replicate by leaving my EG session for few hours w/o experiencing any disconnect

4) All users access EG via terminal server

Does SAS EG uses any protocol such as ssh etc. for its connections?  (There is a keep alive option in ssh that we could use, just a thought)

You need to find out what is the common cause(s). Could it be connections to external databases for example when running a long query? Talk to your IT network folks to see if there are any timeout limits on your firewall rules for any ports your SAS servers use.
