We install SAS EG from the sas depot 'client tier' via SCCM.  Question, could hotfix be applied in the same manner?  I am aware that enterprise push using standalone method has the ability to have custom configuration and hotfix applied version is enabled when pushed from an enterprise push perspective.

Another thought, if we download the hotfixes to the depot and when deploying a client install via SCCM, hotfix will automatically apply during deployment?

To sum up, I think I should have asked how to apply selected HF to SAS clients (EG) and disburse that via enterprise deployment tool?

As usual, thank you in advance,

I think I have found an answer.

If install is done first time, that is, a clean SASHome, then retrieve hot fixes in the depot (this will be our case for the new enterprise push), ensure the target HF is available for SAS client and that will deploy during the SCCM push.

However, if SASHome pre-exists, then one has to follow the manual method (using HFDD tool, download, deploy, etc. etc.)

One monkey wrench is if retrieving the hot fix in the depot would include a specific HF (SAS may not download it).  In that case, perhaps, if we manually download and place it in the depot and that would address the issue?

This calls for some testing.  I invite your thoughts, insights, and comments.

TIA
