Hi,

I am using a linux sas server RHEL 6, there when I check in bash its showing java --version as 1.8 , but in SAS EG proc javainfo; shows 1.7

How to change the Java version of SAS

By default SAS would be using its private JRE (<SASHome>/SASPrivateJavaRuntimeEnvironment), not the one that is run when you run "java" from the command line.

According to this page, 9.4 M6 included Java 8. Are you sure you are on version 9.4 M6 and not M5 or earlier?

I believe upgrading the SAS Private JRE would involve upgrading your SAS deployment to a newer release.
The current release, 9.4 M8, ships with Java 11.

Hi,

Thanks for your response!

I am using sas 9.4 M6 version only

And there is no plan to upgrade sas M6 to M8

What can I do now?

You may wish to engage SAS Technical Support to confirm you are using the correct JRE for your 9.4 M6 installation.
