Hi,

I am trying to create a Oracle connection in SAS Viya 3.4.

When I do a Test Connection, it tell me that "There was a problem testing the connection: An unexpected error has occurred"

I have tested the connection using sqlplus in the cas server and it is working fine.

Any help or pointer on how to resolve this error is very much appreciated.

I'm assuming you're attempting to test the connection within the Data Viewer in a SAS Viya client like SAS Environment Manager.  You'll need to follow the instructions on the Oracle Data Connector page to make this work.  You can also link to this page from the "?" icon next to the Source type field in the Data Viewer Connection Settings dialog.  You may want to submit the associated CASUTIL code from SAS Studio or a batch job to see what shows up in the log.  If you're still having trouble making the connection, feel free to call or chat up Tech Support.
