Hello friends, i am not sure if this question is appropriate or not but wanetd to know,

in order to make sas files available across grid environment (shared file system), what kind of file system is appropriate for UNIX or linux server?

I know one option is IBM based GPFS.

Two years old, but should still be somewhat relevant :

Thank you LinusH, appreciate it. We have other SAS team sitting remotely, they are using WINSCP with UNIX but not sure which file system they are using.

Not sure if thats relevant. Chose the appropriate file system for your grid deployment, and then make sure that they can access data/files there according to your design.
