I am a new admin for 9.4 on Windows 2016 (and SAS newbie). I would like to view the logs from last few days from Metadata folder and Environment Manager to look for errors, etc (Env manager looks like not configured). Any issues if I open the files directly in Notepad++ or need to copy to another directory and then open the files?

Many thanks,

Opening logs directly in Notepad++ should be fine, but sometimes SAS locks files it's actively using. So, copying them to another directory first might prevent any issues with access or file locks. It's a good habit to keep things smooth.
