We have a new SAS Viya environment and when defining a connection I am getting PERM_DIR_CREATE_FAILURE.
This makes me think there is a permissions within SAS not able to create an entry. I have permissions to create CASLIB and have also tried using elevated rights being a SAS Admin.
On the file system my used ID has read write to the directory being used.
The only implication is if the user is in that group the CAS session will be started under his/her credentials, not the "cas" user.
The SAS Users Group for Administrators (SUGA) is open to all SAS administrators and architects who install, update, manage or maintain a SAS deployment.
